#1 - Island of O'ahu

O'ahu was the first island.

You went to Hawaii?! I am lucky to have gone to Hawaii. For spring break, my parents took me along with them. We went to visit with my mom's brother, Spike, and to enjoy the scenery. Being the bachelor child does have its advantages. My brother and sister did not go even though we wanted them. They both are married and have more financial responsibilities than me.

I have never seen such beauty and everything in the magazine ads is true - waves, beach, sun, mountains, waterfalls, flowering plants, and great sea turtles.

If you have not gone to Hawaii, I hope these Islands of Hawaii pages will help others plan their trip. And these pages are to record, enjoy, and share the memories with my family and friends.

Hotel info:
O'ahu Parkshore Waikiki
Don't have tel number, but a quick Google search would find it.
Lowest price per night: $90 + parking permit + taxes

Conclusion: Sunsets and ocean views from the hotel balcony are great but you can always walk to the pier or on the beach for a view.

So to save $$$, go to the hostel (hostel is just a motel, but geared to be affordable for young people) just behind the hotel in the alley ($20/night if you room with 4 people). I don't know the name of the hostel (Rainbow Hotel I think) but a few minutes of Google searching will yield the right info. Another bonus is the hostel has an Internet café that charges a low hourly rate.
